Catia's Experience Sets Her Apart
From the state budget office to a legislative commission, Catia has achieved progressive results.
In her time in public service, Catia has helped to:
- Create permanent supportive housing for half of Massachusetts' homeless individuals, in partnership with the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance
- Build a program to provide vocationally-oriented English language learning to immigrants and other non-native English speakers, in partnership with Jewish Vocational Services
- Establish a program to provide education, vocational services, and life skills to 929 young men who were formerly incarcerated or on probation to prevent further criminalization, in partnership with Roca
- Catia is currently working to design mental health and substance use urgent/crisis care that will prevent arrest or unnecessary hospitalization, in partnership with the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, among others
